It's our very first "honeymoon" trip after planning for years. We were supposed to go to South Korea but due to the sudden COVID19 outbreak in Daegu and Cheongdo, we had to cancel EVERYTHING. Hence, we booked our flight ticket to Siem Reap at the very last minute, which is one week before the travel date.
I was VERY upset that we had to change our travel plans. Once I got back home from a long flight, I decide on our new travel destination, plan the 4D3N itinerary, and book everything within a few hours. Thankfully, our Siem Reap trip was amazing. (Amazing but not so amazing because of the scorching hot weather)
CAMBODIA'S CLIMATE
Cool season: December - February, ranges from 22 to 33°CHot season: March - June, April is usually the hottest month of the year
Rainy season: June - November
We visited Siem Reap in early March, the weather was already unbearable and oppressive. We were soaked up with sweat - most of the time.

ACCOMMODATION
Indra Porak Residence Boutique located 1km from the city center and it's near to some of the famous tourist attractions such as Pub Street and markets, not walkable distance, must commute by Tuk-Tuk (about USD2-3 per one way). One-way airport pick up and 3 choices of breakfast (Asian, American, Continental) is included.Cleanliness: 3/5
Comfort: 4/5
Welcome drink
We had this deluxe double room.
I chose only American breakfast, I preferred something light instead of having noodles or rice in the early morning.
TRANSPORTATION
The main transportation at certain tourist spots is Tuk-Tuk. Of course, you can hire a taxi or get a chartered car. We decided to go local, we hired a Tuk-Tuk driver to drive us around. However, we took a chartered van to Floating Village on the third day by joining a tour.Advantages: A good experience, more affordable (about USD2 per ride depending on the distance)
Disadvantages: Extremely hot, dusty (definitely need a mask), bump all the way through the bumpy roads
If I were to choose again, I would still go for Tuk-Tuk for at least a day or to travel short distances.
4D3N ITINERARY
DAY 1: Phsar Cha - Made in Cambodia Market - Sunset Quad Bike - Pub StreetTouched down in the early morning, our tuk-tuk driver provided by the hotel was already there waiting for us. We were excited to see our room and tour around Siem Reap. Before we could check-in, we left our luggage at the hotel and we went to the markets (Phsar Cha, Made in Cambodia Market), had our Khmer lunch, strolled around the streets, and chill out at a bar. The weather was so freaking hot that we need to escape from being exposed under the sun so SO badly, we decided to go back to the hotel.

CHILLED OUT AT "THE ONE BY T" BAR
USD0.50 / pint
LUNCH AT "KHMER KITCHEN RESTAURANT"
STROLLED AROUND THE STREET
QUAD BIKE TOUR
We stopped at a crocodile farm, it's optional, USD5 per person. I don't think it's worth visiting as it's a very small crocodile farm unless you have never seen a WHITE crocodile.
We had our Khmer dinner, walked around Pub Street, and went back to the hotel.

DINNER AT "TRADITIONAL KHMER FOOD" RESTAURANT
Our first time trying crocodile meat!
PUB STREET
DAY 2: Temple run (Angkor Wat - Banteay Kdei - Prohm - Ta Keo - Angkor Thom / Bayon - Terrace of the Elephant)
We checked the largest religious monument in the world!! One of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, one of the most important archeological sites in Southeast Asia. It was all about temple run, from one temple to another, each temple has its own special characteristics.
There are TWO routes: Blue line (small tour), Pink line (big tour)
We chose the Blue Line.
Angkor Wat - Banteay Kdei - Prohm - Ta Keo - Angkor Thom / Bayon - Terrace of the Elephant
We skipped the Angkor Wat sunrise tour as I did not want to squeeze with the crowds. Beware of the locals who offer photo-taking 'service' unless you're willing to pay them. I asked a local to help us take a photo, after one shot, he brought us to a few more spots for photo-taking. We started to feel something was not right, and YAS, he demanded USD15. We were grateful that he helped us took a few nice shots but it was totally unfair, he could let us know beforehand. We negotiated and paid him USD3 in the end.
We spent so much time taking photos in the beginning, and we gradually stopped after visiting the second temple. We can't really bear the hot and steamy weather..... there's literally no winds at all, the leaves stayed still at all times, no kidding. Bring your own big bottle of water or you could purchase it at USD1 per one big bottle before or after visiting each temple.
After a long day, our tuk-tuk driver dropped us at a restaurant for dinner before heading back to the hotel.

TERRACE OF THE ELEPHANT
Ciao! Definitely worth visiting all these temples at least......once!
After half a day of the temple run, I got a bad sunburnt.
DAY 3: Kampung Phlok Floating Village - Art Center Night Market - Massage - Miss Wong Bar
I was excited about this Kampung Phlok Floating Village Tour that I've booked through klook , this is one of the highly recommended tourist attractions because Siem Reap is not just all about temple. Ha ha ha.
A driver picked us up from the hotel at 8am in the morning, we gathered at a decent cafe in the city center until all the tourists arrived and we hopped onto the chartered van. It was about an hour journey ... our tour guide explained how the community form in this village, what did they do, how they survive, how these villagers commute by boat to school and etc. The history lesson began.
Well, in my mind, I was thinking that we will take a boat ride to visit the village. It wasn't! It was different from what I saw on Youtube. I was curious, "why are we walking instead of taking a boat ride." Oh well..... we went there on the wrong season, it only happens during the rainy/monsoon season. *Facepalm* *Self slap* Nonetheless, we still get a chance to take a boat ride to the floating restaurant, spent an hour there chilling and eating.

Day 4: Bye Bye!
We left the hotel after having breakfast to catch our morning flight. Bye bye~
I've never slept so much in my entire life! We slept so much! Either taking a nap in the afternoon to avoid the oppressive heat OR back to the hotel after our early dinner, sleep all the way till the next day. It was indeed a memorable and stress-free trip!
Notes:
-Must bring Sunscreens and Mosquito Repellent!
-Appropriate attire when visiting Angkor Wat (Pants covering knee, No sleeveless, No revealing clothing are allowed)
