Milan, Metropolitan City of Milan, Italy

【MILAN】DISCOVER MILANO, ITALY

HELLO MILAN, ITALY.

Duomo Di Milano, one of the largest churches in the world.

PIAZZA DEL DUOMO

The main square side of the Duomo and other historic buildings.

The majestic Duomo di Milano

The girl next to me is such a great poser.

The building architectural details....so beautiful.

Touristy spot.

Pigeons were everywhere.

Note: Beware of scammers. Avoid taking the friendship band or pigeons' food from anyone.

GALLERIA VITTORIO EMANUELE II

A historic covered walkway. You'll find branded boutiques and some restaurants here.

Try out the gelato and amazing panzerotti when you're here in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

CIOCOLATITALIANI

PANZEROTTI LUINI

Look at that mozzarella cheese!

Stroll around the streets...

An hour away from Milan, there's an upscale resort area known for its picturesque scenery set against the foothills of the Alps in Lombardy region - LAKE COMO.

LAKE COMO

Third largest lake in Italy, also known as Lario.

You may take a boat trip.

You'll pass by these streets where some restaurants and souvenir shops are located when you walk to Lake Como.

In the midst of which the formation of Lake Como, there are a few towns you may discover - Como, Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzina.

BELLAGIO

I visited Bellagio, a town where everything are a little more expensive but beautiful! Definitely worth the visit.

You will find silk products in most of the shops here.

I had my dinner at one of the restaurants in Bellagio before heading back to hotel.

Euro 10.00 for a creamy mushroom risotto.

HOW TO GO GET THERE??

DUOMO DI MILANO
It depends on where you're staying.
It took about 20 - 30 minutes from my hotel by metro.

Euro 2.00 per person to travel from one place to another within 3 zones.

NOTE: Avoid peak hours, you probably won't be able to get into the metro, not even squeezing in ...

LAKE COMO
By Trenord train, Euro 4.80 per one way,

Look for the train platform number.

You may find the platform number here too!

To go to Lake Como, the destination is CHIASSO

That's the right platform!

I went to the wrong platform in the beginning as I got confused with the name of the destination. I couldn't find Lake Como! I asked a passerby and he told me that the destination is Chiasso.
NOTE: Check from the Trenord website helps too! The train number, time and destination is stated clearly in the website.

NOTE: Don't forget to validate your train ticket before heading to the platform.

Ticket will be printed with the date after validating at the machine.

BELLAGIO
By bus C30, Euro 3.80 per one way, from Como S. Giovanni (Trenord train station where you stopped from Milan) to Bellagio. It's an hour journey, enjoy! Alternative choice, take a boat ride.

Unfortunately, it took me an hour to wait for the bus, I was so pissed off.

The beautiful scenery calmed me down while I was on my way to Bellagio.

To go back to Como S. Giovanni (Lake Como Trenord train station), buy your bus ticket at Bar Sanreno.

Buh-Byeee.... =)
